YOUR CORE7 MASTERMIND GROUPS

My goal for the Mastermind Group I wanted to create was to have it be very structured where there was maximum accountability.

The Core7 Mastermind Group Format looks like this:

1) THE CORE7 COMMITMENT: A Code of Ethics that all members of the group agree to regarding the way the group will function. This is read at the beginning of every Mastermind Group meeting. Core7 believes that the reading of this Oath converts members of the group from individuals into a team.

2) WHAT’S NEW & POSITIVE: Positive Updates, and each member asks the group for introductions to individuals or professionals that will enhance their business.

3) CORE7 REFERRAL TRACKING: Based on the CORE7 Referral Methodology

4) THE HOT SEAT: One member is selected to receive specific constructive feedback and council from the rest of the group.

5)  THE CORE7 LESSON: Core7 assigns a member to teach a lesson based on the Core7 Training Modules in Core7 University.

6) CORE7 GUEST: A Guest is invited to present. This can be a Core7 Professional or a Non-Core7 Professional

7) 1 on 1 PARTNERSHIP PLANNING SESSIONS & HOMEWORK: For Example- Realtor & Mortgage Originator to discuss ways to convert more Pre-Approvals into Closings, or Financial Advisor & Accountant to discuss opportunities from the front page of a Tax-Return. (15-20 minute Phone calls are suggested)

This guide is a fast track checklist for getting your Core Mastermind meetings going right away. So your group can be productive immediately. If you master this format, your mastermind group will propel your business with more referrals, better systems, and more accountability. So let's get started.

When starting your Core7 group, we recommend that you try to have at least four of the seven professionals together before you start holding your core 7 group meetings. The best way to build your group is to start with your current partners. Implementing the Core7 system will provide more structure to your partnerships, and will multiply your success.

To make sure your partners are the right fit, use the Core7 Recruitment Package that is located in the Resource Center. This package contains letters, emails, and the clear outline of the core 7 philosophy.

Getting the right people on your team, who have the right philosophy, is the most important key to the success of your Core7 Mastermind  group.

Now let's talk about your group meetings and the one-on-one partnership planning sessions.

There are 3 scheduled meetings per month. The first meeting to put in your schedule is your Mastermind group meeting. We recommend this meeting to be in person with all group members attending.

Now these Mastermind meetings follow systematized steps laid out in the Core7 Agendas and contain a different lesson to be taught at each meeting.

Group referrals are tracked at the Mastermind meetings and managed with the Core7 tracking matrix. This cheat sheet highlights the Primary and Secondary Referral Targets that each professional is required to refer and also includes specific accountability questions specific  for each professional. This helps make the system more predictable.

Now this is really important,  also included in each monthly agenda, are the assigned monthly one-on-one partnership planning sessions for each professional. These meetings have a deeper focus targeting specific topics regarding the two professionals who are meeting. For example, a Mortgage Originator and a Realtor could meet to discuss details regarding the introduction of a client who is purchasing a home.  Another example would be a Financial Advisor and an Accountant could meet to discuss the many different referral opportunities on a simple tax return.

These meetings can be done by conference call or in person. We of course always recommend that meetings take place in person as they deepen the relationship. However, as long as  the system is executed properly, everyone should be very busy with referrals and also providing great service. So conducting the meetings by conference call or on the phone may be more efficient.

Okay let's review the steps to get your mastermind group surging forward in the right direction. Trust me, following these steps correctly could make your referral business explode from this group. My Core7 Group is responsible for an average of 250,000 dollars a year in income. I credit the success to the fact that the group sticks to the format and follows the plan.

There's really no need to over think things. It's a fairly simple format, just follow these steps and get going.

Ok your first step is to schedule the Mastermind meeting for the same time each month.

Also be sure to get in the habit of scheduling your one-on-one partnership planning sessions before the end of the month, so there is no overlap with the next month’s assignments. Again these can be done by phone for your convenience and schedule.

The second step to prepare you for your first mastermind meeting is to learn your referral scripts. Be sure to know who your Primary Referral targets are. This is such a huge step. In my opinion the closer attention that is given to this key step the more successful your group will be.

Each professional has specific referral targets and scripts that are managed during the mastermind meetings. Now be sure to listen carefully to the primary referral target modules and the other course modules in the Core7 University that give more detail on how these meetings work and how they integrate with the Primary and Secondary referral targets.

These referral targets are predictable, accountable and systematic. Now it's best to learn these scripts and say them to your client voice to voice when appropriate, but they can also be emailed. These cross sells have generated hundreds of referrals for my group. In one 18 month period of time I was able to give 70 referrals to my Financial Advisor partner for example.

Again, I feel  it is critical to learn the models and always study the content asap. They are very granular and repetitive, but understanding and knowing them cold will definitely lead to success and more referrals

The next pages outline the primary referral targets and the scripting used by each professional to generate referrals. Again it is so important to be familiar with these referral targets. They are the foundation for the tracking, accountability, and success of the system. This quick start guide will give you what you need to get your groups up and running, but I highly recommend that all members review the referral pathways modules before the first meeting. It is an interview with me that digs deeper on how to run your group, the primary and secondary referral target scripts, and other aspects of the system. On the next pages you will see the timestamps showing the location of this information in the modules.
